BIOGRAPHY
Mary Gibbs is a workshop leader, clarinettist, and teacher. She is passionate about making music fun and accessible for everyone. Mary works in a variety of settings including early years spaces, primary schools, care homes, and intergenerational projects.
Mary plays with leading UK ensembles including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Opera House, and Royal Northern Sinfonia. Mary is a founding member of Cavendish Winds Quintet, performing at St Martin-in-the-Fields, Wigmore Hall, and touring Scotland with the Tunnell Trust.
Mary studied music at Oxford University and the Royal Academy of Music. She then trained with Spitalfields Music, Wigmore Hall Learning, and Open Academy.

COMMUNITY
Creativity, people, and togetherness are at the heart of Mary’s workshops. Mary works with IMM Music and AgeUK, performing concerts in care homes or leading singalongs and creative music workshops. She helps with musical projects for people living with dementia, working with Westminster Arts Council, Saffron Hall, and local charities.

EDUCATION
Mary's school workshops include a huge mix of activities, from musical games to song writing and improvisation. Mary has worked with the National Children's Orchestra, Action for Kids, and Junior Guildhall, running a range of workshops in nurseries, primary schools, SEN schools, and music college.
